RECORD RESULTS!
Year 11 students have achieved the school's best ever GCSE results - by some way! With 86% of students achieving 5A*-C grades and 74% achieving 5A*-C grades including English and Maths, they represent a 20% increase over last year and the best ever results by 10%.
These results are very nearly the best in Somerset and reflect the endeavour and hard work of every student in the year group.
Although we are encouraged by the media to celebrate whole school success the most important thing is what these results mean for individual students. Every student deserves congratulating for the success they had in this summer's exams. Some students achieved amazing results by any measure of success; others achieved because they made outstanding progress in their time at Ansford; some overcame significant challenges to achieve great results. Regardless of the story, every student deserves our congratulations.

Apart from the students and staff doing a great job we also want to recognise the work done by our primary partner schools - Bruton, Castle Cary, Countess Gytha, Ditcheat, Evercreech, Keinton Mandeville, Lovington, North Cadbury and Upton Noble. This was a year group who arrived ready to learn and keen to succeed - and that made a huge difference to what we were able to help them achieve.
